I am writing this brief view of what we do here at the mission station. John and Lorna Sarra came to Kafulafuta Baptist Mission Station in 1995. They started ministering in biblical teaching, overseeing the clinic, teaching sign language, administration from governmental issues to personal issues in all areas of the ministry. John also has been maintaining and building the mission station up to date.
Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, they teach at the Bible Institute. Wednesday and Friday a team goes out for discipleship, Saturday after class evangelism is in order. Sundays church by church the national pastors desire the missionary to both teach and preach. All and all the ministry has 313 churches and or preaching points.
The missionaries and this work of God are very highly respected in all the countries they minister in. GCMS or God's Christian Missionary Service of Zambia is registered and has national missionaries in, Tanzania, D.R. Congo and Malawi. They also have ministries in Botswana, Angola, Mozambique, Burundi and soon to be in Namibia.
John continued his studies and has earned two doctorates, one in Ministry and a PhD in Mission Science. Lorna has been voted in on two Board of Directors. One is Dagama, for the handicap nationals, the other Churches Health Association of Zambia. John and Lorna have been in the company of, and witnessed to, 3 of the 4 Presidents, many Ministers of Parliament, government, police and army officials. Because of GCMS being an NGO they donate to these officials items from surgical operating beds to pencils assisted by IAM (International African Ministries), located in the U.S.
